About Me

About Me

Throughout my life, the outdoors has been a source of comfort. There’s a healing quality to immersing oneself in nature. It has consistently allowed me to think with clarity, set goals, and most importantly, to relax and de-stress. With the arrival of my family, we cherished every moment we could spend in the natural world. We’ve lived by the Forest School philosophy. As an educator, I’ve aimed to integrate the Forest School approach into my teaching. There’s much for me to learn, but I’m undertaking this journey eager to facilitate learning in a more engaging, natural setting.

Welcome, and thank you for being here. This blog chronicles my journey toward becoming a Forest School Leader. It serves as the documented evidence necessary for my Level 3 Forest School Leadership Portfolio.

Achieve

In order to achieve their full potential and be happy and successful, education must develop the whole child (including both academic abilities and holistic growth). A holistic approach to education includes a focus on the whole child and includes the social, emotional, physical, moral, spiritual and intellectual growth of a child whilst establishing their overall wellbeing.

A holistic approach provides opportunities and experiences for rounded and adaptive thinkers who are flexible, sociable and emotionally intelligent as they grow.

The Rock Paper Write Forest School programme, holistic development is intrinsic to the wide range of experiences Forest School Leaders facilitate and several personal, educational and internal benefits may be developed at once.
